Uzbekistan, located in Central Asia, is officially known as the Republic of Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan has large deposits of mineral resources. Other than rich deposits of natural gas, it also has gold, zinc, copper, coal, lead, tungsten, molybdenum, fluorspar and uranium. The country is the 6th largest cotton producer and the 2nd largest cotton exporter. It is also the 7th largest producer of gold in the world and has the 4th largest deposits of gold in the world. Large quantities of silk, vegetables and fruits are produced in Uzbekistan. Main industries of Uzbekistan include textiles, machine building, metallurgy, chemicals, food processing and natural gas. |
